Moree Gwydir Examiner and General Advertiser (NSW : 1901 - 1940), p. 3. http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article112797149 OBITUARY.— We regret to record the death at the age of 49 years of Mrs. Catherine Humphries, wife of Mr. George Humphries, of Chester Street, Moree, which took place on Friday evening last. The deceased was well known and highly respected in Moree, where she has resided for many years. She has been suffering from an internal complaint for several months and underwent a serious operation in Sydney at the beginning of the year, but finally succumbed, leaving a husband and five children to mourn their loss. The funeral, which was largely attended, took place on Sunday morning, Rev. J. S. H. Cawte reading tho service, and the Town Band, one of whose members is a son of the deceased, playing a funeral march. Every sympathy is felt for the family of the deceased, whose character in all the relations of life was most exemplary.
