Physical Description

Descendant of group NE58 on SmithConnections Northeastern DNA Project.[1]


The memorial (77202603) on FAG cited here shows that the John Smith buried in Windsor, Connecticut died in 1747 "in the 68th year of his age", making him born in about 1680.

A Digest of the Early Connecticut Probate Records : Hartford district Vol III Page: Vol III p 648. The above listed reference shows a will of a John Smith dated 16 Dec 1747. This leads one to believe it is for the John Smith buried in Windsor, Connecticut. The will lists his children as John, Samuel, Abigail (married to Daniel Skinner) and Mary (married to Jeremiah Dickens). It lists his wife as Sarah. Therefore, I don't believe it should be listed as a reference for this profile. Mary (Weston) Jenkins
