Owen was born in 1898. He was the son of of Owen Smith and Lizzie Shafer. In 1900, Owen was residing in Benson Precinct, Cochise county, Arizona Territory. [1] By 1910, Owen and his family were living in Tempe, Mariposa County. [2]


Owen married Lucille Rupp on June 16th, 1917 in Cochise county, Arizona. [3]

World War One Draft

In 1918, Owen was enlisted during the United States World War 1 draft. At the time he was an unemployed miner who was described as having a tall medium build with brown eyes and brown hair. [4]


Owen passed away in San Diego, California in 1982. [5]
