Americus wasa son of Ashael and Deborah (Clarke) Smith. Amercius became one of Palmyra Township's first settlers 1833 Palmyra, Lenawee County Michigan. Also had sons William Porter Smith bc 1846 and Edwin B. Smith bc 1852. Americus Smith ... He passed away in 1894.
