Harcy Smith was the son of Samuel Burwell Smith and Philena Lewis.[1]
Based on his age 62 in the 1850 census, Harcy's birth year is estimated to be 1788. [It appears that the December 23, 1783 birth in Waterbury, Connecticut, originally entered for this profile (Barbour Town Records?) was for an unrelated Harvey Smith.]
1850 Census, Fairfield, Huron, Ohio: Harvey Smith 62, Zebelicea Smith 61, Leona M. Harris 5. In census reports and his will, he is listed as: Hersey, Horsey and Harcy.
