James williams mother was Malinda smith.... Was Smith her maiden name or married name? Did she marry Johnson Williams and then marry a Smith or was her maiden name Smith? So many questions.... DNA supports Johnson Williams as the father of James, maybe, if Johnson was the son of Burrell Williams and the brother of Isham. He seems to be both as I have a DNA match to Isham Williams. But Malinda is a mystery and sources for her seem to be for two different women, maybe three.
