Biography

When Emma Smith was born in 1868 in Millthorpe, New South Wales, her father, Christopher Smith, was 29, and her mother, Emily (Sams) Smith, was 27. She had five brothers and five sisters. [1][2]

Edith and her sisters were given a free loan on 5 June 1940.[3]

She died on 22 January 1954 in her hometown at the age of 86, and was buried in the Chuch of England Section, Millthorpe, New South Wales.[4]

Unmarried
4 daughters were spinsters as Christopher didn't want them to marry. They kept a dairy on "Roslyn". They supplied milk to local residents of Millthorpe.
