Biography

Elsie Smith was born to Maggie Ann (Hird) Smith & Wm Thomas Smith in Rathwell, Manitoba in 1904. Her second name of Shellington was her Grandmother Smith's name before she married. (This would be Pegleg Smith's wife). She died at age 72 on April 15, 1977. She married Donald McTavish in October 27, 1927 at age 22. Donald died in Six Lakes, Michigan, US.

Note: Her second name of Shellington is the maiden name of her paternal Grandmother who married Pegleg Smith. This grandmother was a United Empire Loyalist.
