Biography

Seth Smith immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Note: He immigrated on the John & Dorothy or the Rose, departing from Ipswich, England, arriving 8 June 1637 in Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony, with his parents Henry Smith and Elizabeth. Seth signed the Medfield Memorial in 1664.[1] Children listed in the agreement of heirs in his probate: Samuel Smith, Seth Smith, Joseph Smith and Elisha Smith. [Joseph and Elisha were under 21]
