Emie She died in New York in 1884 just before Richards marriage. Emie used the stage name Weathersby. The family used Weathersby on various legal documents.
Not to be confused with Richard Weatherbys daughter also called Emie who appeared on stage with the D'Oyle Carte in 1904.
Emie has 8 siblings
The 3 confirmed so far are
Born 1855 Jennie Smith aka Jennie Weathersby (Stage Name)
Born 1857 Eliza (Smith) Goodwin aka Eliza Weathersby (Stage Name)
Born 1860 Richard Smith aka Richard Weathersby (Stage Name)
There is also on family records
Harriet
I have removed Helen as I believe her to be Richards Daughter.
Bessie
William
John
A Lillian is mentioned in an obituary as having attended Eliza's funeral with her mother in New York but is not shown on family records. Is Lillian Helen or Nell?
We do have some information on Bessie. Bessie married a George Hayes (This is probably the George Hayes from the D'Oyle Carte opera. They had 3 children that are known. George C Hayes, Willie Hayes and Jack Hayes.
Jack Hayes married an Alice. They had a child George Richard Hayes who married Evelyn Hancock. They had 2 children John and Christine.
Records are hard to pin down during this period due to the nomadic nature of theatricals.
Note
Emie died of typhoid in 1908 which Emie?
