Biography

Thomas Smith was born on 2 October 1770 in Windham, Maine. His parents were Peter Thacher Smith and Elizabeth (Wendell) Smith^[1].

He married Mary "Polly" Barker on 26 Aug 1792^[2]. They had four children, all born in Windham:

1. Tyng, born 24 Feb 1793

2. Eliza W., born 24 May 1795; married 1st Thomas Stevens, married 2nd Alexander Pride

3. Thomas L., born 3 Nov 1797

4. Mary Ann, born 1800; married Enoch White

Thomas passed away at the age of 32 and is buried in Old Smith Burying Ground in Windham, Maine^[3].
