Researcher's Notes

According to Find A Grave, Abigail (Ford) Smith died June 5, 1760 and was buried in the Montsweag Cemetery, in Woolwich, Sagadahoc County, Maine. Israel died January 23, 1798 and was buried with her. [9] Further research is necessary to determine whether this Israel Smith family has been confused with one of the many Israel Smith families in the Maine district of Massachusetts. We do know that his family was living in Scituate, Massachusetts while their children were born between 1747 and 1757.
