Research Notes / Marriages

Sisters, Mary Smith and Ruth Smith, married brothers, Jeremiah Wilbur and Daniel Wilbore, respectively.

Mary Smith and Jeremiah Wilbore (Wilbur) were married on August 5, 1750, in Smithfield, Providence, Colony of Rhode Island (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/family/LH88-1PK)
Jeremiah died about 1753
Ruth Smith and Daniel Wilbore (Wilbur) were married on December 13, 1750, in Smithfield, Providence, Colony of Rhode Island, by Thomas Steere, Justice.(https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/170783869/daniel-wilbur), (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/family/L2NG-72H)
Daniel died in 1807

:Second Marriage After the death of her first husband, Jeremiah, Mary was married to his brother, Daniel, on 5 Jul 1756 - their children were Patience, Dorothy, Benjamin, Gideon, Samuel, Richard, Lorana & Mary (last child born 1780)

:Third Marriage Mary Smith Wilbur married Elisha Dillingham, son of John and Jael (Turner) Dillingham after 1764. Elisha was probably in Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay, before 1720, and was of Smithfield, Rhode Island in 1748. Elisha later moved to Adams, Massachusetts, and died there before 1795.(https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/viewer/232738/?offset=#page=23&viewer=picture&o=info&n=0&q=)

Note that this information may be inaccurate, as the last child born to Mary and her second husband (& former brother-in-law), Daniel, was after 1780, and if Daniel's year of death of 1807 is correct, then, Mary could not have been married to Elisha Dillingham.
