John Speed Smith (1808 in Knox County, Kentucky.- 1893 in Whitley County, Kentucky) John married 1st on June 24, 1832 to Celia Webb He married 2nd on Sept 30, 1867 to Elizabeth Ann Jones-Early.

John & 2nd wife Bettie had 21 children between them, "yours, mine & ours". He had 11 by his 1st wife. She had 6 by her 1st husband. They had 4 together.
