Mary (Smithers) Platts was born in Derbyshire, England.
Mary Smithers of Melbourne, Derbyshire was married to William Platts of Newtown Linford on 30 Nov 1763 in Newtown Linford, Leicestershire, England. Witnesses were John Mee and William Hughes, Joseph Hooley officiated. [1][2]
Mary Platts wrote a will which names her grandchildren, Mary the wife of John Bentley and Hannah the wife of Robert Bentley, both of Swarkestone, amongst others. [3][4]
