John: Hello. Thanks for your response. Trust you are staying well. I know that feeling of 'slowing down' - just hope I've enough time left to add all my accumulated research.

Speaking of research, have you any way of accessing Wayne's tree on Ancestry (includes a lot of info. which I supplied)? I've asked Ancestry directly about that info., but am still waiting for a reply. Best regards.....Phil Grace. PS - By the way, many thanks for adding me to the 'trusted list' for Elizabeth Smithers.

Hi Phil,

I am afraid I have not advanced my information on Elizabeth Smithers since we were last in touch. I have slowed down a bit and not been as active. John

John: Hello & belated best wishes for 2024.

Unfortunately I was not aware of Wayne Jackson's passing (in 2022) until last year. I was thus prompted to review our joint efforts in the Smithers/Dring connection and wonder if you still have an ongoing interest therein? If so, I wonder if you have any further info. on the death of the subject person (i.e., Elizabeth Dring, nee Smithers)? In the inscription on the family's memorial stone at St. Peter's Churchyard, Preston (see: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/211931937/anne-dring ) it shows her as having died on 11 Feb 1834, aged 82 - which implies a birth year of around 1752, whereas baptism date was 11 May 1777 (see: https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_records/59caac5bf493fd95ebf0d085/elizabeth-smithers-baptism-sussex-preston-1777-05-11?locale=en ) which also fits with decade of siblings' & husband's birth/baptism years. Would welcome your further comment please. Best regards.....Phil (Grace-883).
