Susan was born in 1805. She was the daughter of William Smithers and Susan Blunden.
She married Henry Garland in Brighton in 1828. [1] and they had about 6 children.

Rosa Garland migrated to South Africa 1857. married David Johnstone. No children. She died 1903. Blunden Douglas Garland migrated to New Zealand. Did jail time in England and worked as a barman.
After she was widowed, Susan migrated to Cape Town, South Africa. She passed away there in 1894.
