Micajah Smithson was born in ~1742 (according to DAR info) in New Kent (now Hanover) Co, VA, British Colonial America. His parents were Francis Hugh Smithson (~1705 - 1784) and Sarah Edward Burnley (Chiles) Smithson (~1714 - 1797).
