Notes

If like the Bush Declaration Org. bio states William Bull Smithson that the parents were William's (the Signer) parents were Thomas Smithson (b. 30 Jan 1712 d. bef. 3 Oct 1795) and Mary Grafton (b. 1723 d. 6 Jun 1812).

And it further states that his brother, Nathaniel married Mary Bull, which does not make sense, since William's middle name is "Bull"?????????? Maybe they were good neighbors.

Wouldn't that make
This looks good for Nathaniel... kind of old IF the DOB is right??????????

Smithson-384 and Smithson-385 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same person, not father and son.

I believe I have fixed the family of Thomas Smithson and his son Thomas. There is still a merge between Smithson-386 into -313 that needs to be completed to make the two correct. I also moved Nathaniel Smithson to be the son of Thomas II. Hope everyone agrees.

Here is the problem... Nathaniel is linked to his grandparents, at least as per the site on William Bull Smithson's profile www.bushdeclaration.org

"parents were Thomas Smithson (b. 30 Jan 1712 d. bef. 3 Oct 1795) and Mary Grafton (b. 1723 d. 6 Jun 1812). His siblings were Ann (m. Samuel Durham Jr.), Elizabeth (m. John Durham), Thomas (m. Sarah Bond), Daniel (m. 1st ?; 2nd Susannah Taylor), Nathaniel (m. Mary Bull), Margaret (m. James Barton), Cassandra (m. John Green) and Archibald. William's (the Signer) grandparents were, paternal, Thomas Smithson (b. c1675 d. Mar 1732) and Ann Scott,"

We should not be merging but get the correct data for the Nathaniel. The "Children born ..." there is no Nathaniel but just THOMAS... and the date of birth is the same. The father of Nathaniel has different parents than the father of Thomas... just UNLINK Nathaniel from this family, and the mother Ann Scott. until we can find more sources. sound good? Carole

Smithson-312 and Smithson-385 are not ready to be merged because: Further investigation needed as to why the details do not match, especially with the lack of sources on the second profile.

hi, I think I found the problem. He needs to be linked to the correct parents, Thomas and Mary Grafton, as per the "brother William's" profile. easy right? we still need a source for him being their son.
