Biography

Elizabeth is purported to be the daughter of Henry "Hugh" Smithwick (ca. 1620-1680) of Smethwick, West Midlands, England who migrated to Edenton, Chowan, North Carolina; and, Elizabeth Windley (ca. 1620-1694), originally of Hertfordshire.

She married Robert Walburton (ca. 1624-1700). Through MyHeritage, Ancestry.com matching and the latter's "We're Related" app, additional children besides Mary Williams include:

Elizabeth Walburton (ca. 1679-1721) - who married John Gardner (ca. 1680-1749)
John Walburton, and
Robert Walburton, with possibly two more children.

Research Notes

It is hoped that by developing this immediate families' constellation of profiles that the solid references availalbe (on, for example, John Gardner, who has a record of a will that places his North Carolina death in 1749), that specific references will justify keeping these profiles that presently lack any proofs and appropriate sources.

It is noted that several of these immediate family members have precise day, month and year death dates in the Geni work-up, which might be a sign that a solid source will emerge.

Smithwick-154 and Smithwick-107 are not ready to be merged because: Too much variance in the estimated dates of birth & estimated date of death, plus number of children born to her during her lifetime.

Smithwick-154 and Smithwick-107 appear to represent the same person because: the Smithwick-107, though created earlier, was based only upon a Geni profile. The later profile is linked to at least one solid source, and we have a good chance of developing more. Note that spouses and children are going to subsequently need to be de-duplicated. I'll be glad to help as I can, given that this line is close to me. Thanks!
