Biography

Maud Smyth was a daughter of Robert Smyth and Agnes Butler of Corsham, Wiltshire.^[1]

Maud was a beneficiary of the will of her father Robert Smythe, Clothman of Corsham, Wiltshire, the will made on 05 Apr 1555 and proved on 22 Jun 1556.^[2] The Testator made a bequest as follows:

"I bequeath to Maude Collemore my daughter twentie pounds and to Robert Collemore my godsonne sixe pounds and to all her other children three pounds apece of them".

In the Visitation of London^[1] it was recorded that she was a daughter of Robert Smyth and Agnes of Corsham, and that she had married firstly Collymor and secondly Fowler.
