James Stillman Smyth, aka Smith, was born at Calais, Maine, 15 Sep 1847, the son of Stuart Smyth and Charity B. Caldwell; [1] [2] [3] married (intentions at Calais, 7 Nov 1874), Sarah Jane Stoddard, [4] born, probably at Milltown, Maine, c1840, the daughter of Benjamin Stoddard and Susan H.
