Charity (or, Charitie) Snell was born on 20 Nov 1719, in Bridgewater, in the Province of Massachusetts Bay. She was the daughter of Amos Snell and Mary Packard.[1]
Charity married Sylvanus Blossom on 16 Nov 1738, in Bridgewater.[2]
Charity and Sylvanus had several children die in Bridgewater, none of them named in the Bridgewater records: multiple children died on 27 Apr 1744; a single child, a son, died on 11 Oct 1747;[3] and another, single child died on 20 Jul 1749. [4] The only child whose birth they registered in Bridgewater was their son, Sylvanus, who was born on 13 Mar 1746.[5] It is known that Sylvanus, by then living in Freetown in Bristol County, survived childhood to marry Martha Alden in 1744.[6]
