Masonic Cem, Flat Branch Twp,Shelby,IL,USA. Her death record (Thisba J. Koatzer) lists pulmonary consumption (tuberculosis) as cause of death. Illinois Mortality Schedules are lists of deaths in the year preceding a census (1879 before the 1880 census). It is just the coincidence that she died in that year that makes the record available. Her younger brother Russell Patten Snell-2749 died just two days before Thisbe. Find A Grave: Memorial #48530583.
Benjamin Kratzer married a second time in 1881 and died in California. I adopted his profile, which has some additional information. Thisbe's gravestone says SNELL only.
