Arthur married Hannah Coates in Hull, in 1922. The marriage was registered in the second quarter in Sculcoates. It appears the couple had seven children between 1924 and 1940. In the 1939 Register, there is one child listed, and five redacted entries, indicating six children at residence at the time.
No definitive record of Arthur's death has been found.
