Biography
Elizabeth Snell was born on 28 March 1788 in Freetown, Massachusetts, to George Snell and Olive (Blossom).[1]
"The intention of marriage between Holder Mosher and Betsey Snell both of Dartmouth was entered with me March 22d 1813 -- Ephraim Tripptown Clerk."[2] She married Holder Mosher on 4 July 1813 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.[3]
The 1830 United States Census lists 2 adults (parents) and 8 children.[4]
In the 1860 census Betsey (age 70, widowed) was in New Bedford Ward 1, Bristol, Massachusetts.[5] In the 1865 Massachusetts State census Betsey (age 77, widowed) was in New Bedford, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States.[6]
In the 1880 census Betsey (age 92) was the widowed head of household in New Bedford, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States.[7]
She died on 26 July 1881 in New Bedford, Massachusetts.[8]
