Hi again Jill

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

I see you have already joined the Mayflower Project use the Pre-1700 Projects list to see if there are any others you would like to join. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus by using the "reply" link under my comments or by clicking my name to visit my profile. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out.

I'm so glad to have found Wikitree. I truly appreciate the emphasis on accurate sources, collaboration, DNA, and preserving family history. So much to be done, so little time. . .

Thanks for signing the Honor Code, Jill. I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that I found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

My dad, Vincent Snelling, was born in Michigan. His father was Gordon Snelling, who was born and died in Canada. I am new to WikiTree so I my tree isn't linked in yet. Thanks for the offer of help.

Hi Jill

It would be interesting to see if you can trace your family back to England and where. I know of some members on Wikitree that I am related to, sailed over from Devon to America in the very first years of the pilgrims. Regards Roy
