Paul was born on the 13th of April, 1910 [1] [2] at Waterville in Douglas County, Washington. He was the son of Jack Snelson and Martha Duncan. [1] He married Alta Hansen on the 30th of April, 1934 [3] at Spokane in Spokane County, Washington. They were the parents of four children. He passed away on the 19th of February, 1997 [4] [5] at Wenatchee in Chelan County, Washington and was buried in the Cashmere Cemetery at Cashmere in Chelan County. [6]

Obituaries
Paul R. Snelson, 86, a lifetime resident of the Cashmere area, died on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1997, at Central Washington Hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Snelson was born on April 13, 1910, to Andrew and Martha Ann (Duncan) Jackson at Brays Landing, Wash.
Mr. Snelson married his loving wife, Alta (Hansen), on April 30, 1934, in Spokane.
He will be greatly missed by his family, and he was dearly loved by all who knew him.<bt>
He is survived by his wife, Alta; four children, Delbert and wife Susan Snelson of Snohomish, Ronald and wife Susie Snelson of Wenatchee, Ethel Lester and husband Curly of Cashmere, and Carole Jennings and husband Peter of Seattle; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Eunice Prentice; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.

Funeral notices
Graveside services will be held for Paul R. Snelson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 1997 at the Cashmere City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 1997 at Braun Funeral Home. If desired memorials may be given in Mr. Snelson's name to the American Lung and Heart Association or to a charity of your choice. Braun Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.<bt>
