- ALVIN E. SNODGRASS, SR., age 91, of Bel Air, died at Mariner Health of Forest Hill on November 16, 2002. Born in Tariff, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Daniel D. and Elizabeth Laughlin Snodgrass. He worked as an office manager for the Arundel Corporation and also worked in the sales and shipping department at Standard Equipment. Mr. Snodgrass was a longtime member of Mountain Christian Church, serving as Deacon, Elder, and Trustee for over 40 years. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America, and a longstanding member of the Isaac Walton League. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Mount Ararat Lodge No. 44 AF & AM.
- Mr. Snodgrass is survived by his wife of 64 years, whom he married on March 5, 1938, M. Rebecca Smith Snodgrass; two sons, A. Edward Snodgrass, Jr. and his wife, Georgia, of Bel Air; James B. Snodgrass and his wife, Donna, of Flanders, New Jersey; two sisters, Mildred Scarborough of Delta, Pennsylvania; Virginia Grove of Delta, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
- Pallbearers are nephews of Mr. Snodgrass, Daniel Grove, Donald Grove, Robert Scarborough, William Scarborough, Nelson Grove, and Ralph Snodgrass. Honorary Pallbearers are the Board of Trustees from Mountain Christian Church.
- Those who desire may contribute to the Historical Society of Harford County, P.O. Box 366, Bel Air, Maryland 21014. Memorial contributions may also be made to the Mountain Christian Church Building Fund, 1824 Mountain Road, Joppa, Maryland 21085.
