Biography
Elizabeth was born in 1643. She was the daughter of Roger Snow and his wife Elizabeth. She was baptised on 10 March 1643 in Crediton, Devon, England.[1]
Elizabeth is mentionned in her father's will in 1655 which is transcribed here
Elizabeth is possibly the Elizabeth Snow who married Robert Lane on 4 April 1665 in Sandford, Devon, England.[2]
Research notes
There appear to be 2 different women called Elizabeth Snow who both married men with the surname Lane in Sandford in the 1660s. The other Elizabeth is possibly a cousin of this one and there is potential for the 2 women to be confused. It is not certain which Elizabeth married which of the Lane men, although various online trees show the Elizabeth who married Simon Lane being the daughter of Robert Snow NOT Roger Snow. [3]
