Nicholas Snow was a pioneer settler of Brooksville.
Nicholas Snow was born on 6 May 1742[1]in Truro, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay, son of Joshua Snow Sr. (1701 - 1751) and Hannah (Paine) Snow (1713 - 1768).
Nicholas married Huldah Watkins (1742 - 1821) on 7 Nov 1765[2] in Truro.
In about 1773, just before the American Revolution began, the Snow family left Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and moved north and settled in Plantation No4 which became Sedgwick in 1789 a portion of which became Brooksville in 1817 Maine became an independent state in 1820.
Nicholas and Huldah's first three children were born in Truro, Cape Cod, Mass.; the rest were born in (what became) Brooksville, Hancock Co., Maine.

Nicholas died on 18 Jul 1821[3] in Brooksville, Hancock, Maine, United States aged 79.
Brooksville was formed from parts of Castine, Penobscot and Sedgwick, having been set off and incorporated June 13 1817 . It took from Sedgwick an eighth, and from Castine and Penobscot each a fifth of their taxable property.
