Biography

Burl Levi Snow was born in September 1916 in Maud, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. He was the second son (and 2nd child) of Willis Green Snow and his wife, Nancy Isabell (Cornett) Snow.^[1]

On October 16, 1938, Burl Levi Snow married Ines Ines Elsie Higdon b. October 7, 1917.^[2] They had five children:

2. Stewart Keith Snow (1940 - 2007)
3. Carolyn Sue (Snow) Martin (1941 - 2000)
4. Gerald Snow
5. Nancy Alice (Snow) James

On the 1 April 1940 US Census, "Borl" [sic] Snow was recorded as 23 years old, married to Ines Snow, age 22; living with her and their baby daughter, Elnora L. Snow, 8 months (b: Aug 1939) in Wheatland, Mustang Township, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, USA. He was a "Hangar-man, Airport," working at the Oklahoma City Airport.^[3]

Burl Levi Snow was a Veteran of World War II.^[4] He lived most of his life in Wheatland, Mustang Township, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. He died there on 12 March 1994.^[5] He was buried at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wheatland, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, USA.^[6] His wife, Ines (Higdon) Snow, had died on October 12, 1981. She is buried in the same Pleasant Valley Cemetery plot in Wheatland, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, USA.

After his first wife's 1981 death, on 11 January 1984, in Grayson, Texas, Burl Levi Snow remarried to Anna Lou Hughes, b. 1924 in Mannsville, Johnston County, Oklahoma.^[7] Anna Lou was the widow of Rufus Lynn Cooper (1919-1981). Burl and Anna had no children together.^[8] Anna Lou (Hughes) Cooper Snow passed away on 3 July 2010 at 85 years old. She was buried next to her first husband, Rufus Lynn Cooper, at Highland Park Cemetery, Borger, Hutchinson County, Texas, USA.
