Marriage 31 Jul 1895, Oswego Co., NY. [8] [9]
Husband George F. Snow
Wife Jenny May Lamont
There were no children of this marriage.

Newspaper clipping: "East Palermo. August 3 -- The social event of the season on Wednesday evening last, July 31, 8 PM, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Lamont, occurred the marriage of their beautiful and accomplished daughter, Miss Jennie May, to Mr. George F. Snow, the son of Rev. and Mrs. H. F. Snow of this place, a young man of good habits and excellent character. Both of the happy young people are well-known in this place, hence a considerable interest centered on the services, bringing together about eighty of our citizens, with a goodly number from abroad. Among the latter were Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Snow of Orwell, Mr. and Mrs. Linden W. Snow of Central Square, Miss Stelle Kiessinger of Dugway, Miss Lydia J. Pettys of Taleville, St. Lawrence county; Mrs. A. V. Thompson and daughter of Oswego, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Thompson of Clay, Mr. and Mrs. J. Barnes, Mrs. Media Barnes and daughter, New Haven; Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Wyant, Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Upson of Mexico. Miss Mary Bourlier presided at the organ and played the wedding march. The room was trimmed with evergreens, ferns and flowers. At the top in the center of the arch was a large horse shoe of evergreen and flowers beautifully and artistically arranged. The maid of honor was Miss Ella Lamont, sister of the bride. The best man was Mr. Hosea Russ. The ushers were Mr. Edward J. Aiken and Miss Lydia J. Pettys. The bride wore a cream colored cassimere trimmed with satin ribbon adorned with sweet peas and geranium. The bridesmaid was dressed in white mull, trimmed with white satin and wore fuchsias. There were present from about here, of the many I will name a few: Ex-Supervisor D. H. Trimble and H. F. Parsons, with their wives graced the occasion; also Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bourlier, and Mr. and Mrs. George Hitt, Mr. and Mrs. John Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Keller, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Ure, Mr. and Mrs. H. Flint. Others could be worthily mentioned but I forbear. It was estimated that at least 100 were present. The presents were numerous, useful and many of them beautiful. The evening was somewhat inclement without yet good cheer reigned within. The ceremony was performed by Rev. H. Gardner of South Butler. Mr. Noble Scudder and wife aided the parents of the bride in making the evening a success. The happy couple left the same evening amidst a shower of rice on a wedding trip to Clay and Syracuse having the best wishes of all. May success attend them."

Residence 1896, East Palermo, Oswego Co., NY. [10]

Newspaper clipping: "East Palermo. Feb 4 -- Mrs. Jennie Snow has gone to East Schuyler to take care of her husband, who was taken sick there, while on a visit to his father."

Snow-7470 and Snow-7468 appear to represent the same person because: Rev Horace Snow only had one son named George F. Snow. The 1880 Census taker simply got his age wrong - as per all other sources, he was born in 1867 and died in 1897. See Find A Grave Memorial# 20306196. Please merge into Snow-7468 as it is the earlier-created profile BUT keep the Text from Snow-7470.

The same 1880 US Census taker misspelled George's only sister Serena Snow, b: April 1871, as Lenena Snow, 9 years old (b: 1871).
