Biography

Lived with his sisters Joanna and Sarah in their father's original house. He was left as the sole occupant following the death of Joanna in 1953. He installed hydro in 1954, a telephone in 1962, and oil heating to replace wood in 1964. He sold 121 acres of the surrounding property to Victor Reist on 6 July 1960, saving the house for himself. Never marrying, he was considered to live the lifestyle of a hermit. Of smaller stature, he was known as "Little Addison" to distinguish him from distant relative "Big Addison".

He is buried in the Bloomingdale Mennonite Cemetery.
