Wayne was born in 1898, most likely in Edgerton or Williams, Ohio, according to a World War II Draft record and the 1900 Census, respectively. He filed for the draft in both World Wars. He spent the majority of his life in Michigan, where he is believed to have lived primarily in the St. Joseph and Kalamazoo areas. Possible alternative spellings of his name include "Wayne Falsom Snyder".
The World War I Draft notice lists a "J.E. Snyder" as his nearest relative, while the WWII notice lists an "Ethel Ward". He is described by the World War I Draft Card as "tall" and "slender", with "light hair" and either brown or blue eyes.
He passed away in 1962.
