Biography

When Beverly Jean SNYDER was born on August 19, 1933, in Lapeer, Michigan, her father, Edward, was 23, and her mother, Phyllis, was 21. She had two sons and three daughters with Henry F Giegling between 1954 and 1960. She died on September 20, 2012, in Alma, Michigan, at the age of 79, and was buried there.

First Pilgrim Holiness Church was the scene of the marriage of Beverly Jean Snyder and Henry F. Giegling, the Rev. W. N. Miller officiating Saturday. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward H. Snyder, McClure Ave., wore a Chantilly lace gown with a tulle yoke and a portrait neckline, the skirt ending in a cathedral train. A lace cap with an open crown trimmed with pearls and rhinestones held her veil, and she carried stephanotis tea roses and feathered carnations.

Her sister, Sharon, was honor maid. Bridesmaids were Carol Cooper, Phyllis Stevens, Lapeer, and Dorothy Metzger, sister of the bridegroom. They wore similar gowns of net with tiered skirts over taffeta in light blue, yellow, green and orchid respectively with capes. They carried roses and feathered carnations, and wore matching headdresses. Flower girl was Diane Nicholas, Detroit, in yellow, and candle-lighters were Marlene King, Lapeer and Kathleen Quelch. Best man was Don Teasdale, and seating guests were Frank Dasse, Ralph Guillette and Bob Metzger, Lombard, Ill. Ring bearer was Raymond Nicholas, Montrose. Ward Sipes was vocalist, accompanied by Lois Reid.

After receiving guests at Haskell Community House, the couple left for Niagara Falls, the bride wearing a light blue linen suit with black accessories. They will live at 1123 E. Kearsley St.

Mrs. Giegling attended Flint Junior College. Her husband, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. Giegling, Edwards Pl., attended FJC and the university of Michigan.
