Research Notes

The Elizabethville Echo reports a Mildred Trevitz when her supposed children marry. [1][2]. Find A Grave (see below) has Mildred Snyder as Mildred Trevitz.

A family tree on Ancestry [3] has Mildred's husband as John Frank Trevitz (marriage in 1927), but I can find no primary source supporting this. In fact, the 1930 U.S. Census (see below) has Mildred living at home with her father and siblings with no sign of a husband.

However, in the 1930 US Census John F Trevatz (with an "a'" not "i" now) shows up living with his uncle, Jacob V Travatz, a tenant farmer on a farm next to the Snyder farm. [4] Per the Census, John F. was born circa 1911 and is 19 years old. Mildred is 25 years old.

The Obituary Daily Times Index, 1995-2012 [5] has a entry for Mildred, but this is currently inaccessible.
