Biography

Noel Etienne Soileau was born to Noel Soileau and Marie Josephe Richeaume on 30 April 1745 and baptized on the 2nd of May in the same year at St. Charles of Borromeo Church in Edgard.[1]

He married Angelique on 19 August 1771.[2] Some sources indicate the date was 30 July 1771; this may be the date of marriage contract or license.[3]

Commandant of Avoyelles Post from 1788 until 1805.

Noel died in March 1810 and was buried on 7 March 1810 his death was recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. His succession was dated June 1810 and identified his heirs as Jean Baptiste; Etien; Louis; Charles; Henry; Josephine; Bridget; Marie; Emelite.[3]
