Joshua was born in 1823. He served in the Union Army, Company G, 20th Michigan Infantry Regiment, enlisting on 15 Aug 1862. He was promoted to Full Musician, and mustered out on 30 May 1865 at Delaney House, Washington, D.C. He worked as a stone and brick mason, and also as a building mover. He passed away in 1909.
