Biography
Johanna (Solomon) Polk is a part of US Black heritage.
Johanna was born in 1917. She was the daughter of Joseph Solomon and Beulah Gray.
In the 1920 census Joanna (age 2), None, was the single daughter of Joe Solomon in Whitesand Creek, Jefferson Davis, Mississippi.[1] Sister Josephine was 5, Lissie was 10 months old, and brother Elbert was 7.
In the 1940 census Joanna (age 21) was the wife of R C Polk in Jefferson Davis, Mississippi.[2]
Joanna died (age 73) on April 10, 1990 in Los Angeles.[3]
