Lady Anne Somerset was born on 11 March 1740/41, the eldest child of Charles Noel Somerset, 4th Duke of Beaufort and his wife Elizabeth Berkeley, and was baptised at St George's, Hanover Square.
She married 13 September 1759 at Audley Chapel, Hanover Square, London, Charles Compton, 7th Earl of Northampton (born 22 July 1737).
They had one daughter:
She died on 18 May 1763 at either Naples or Venice and was buried at Compton with a memorial inscription at Badminton, county Gloucester. He died a few months later at Lyons in France, on 18 October 1763 and was also buried at Compton on 29 November 1763.
