Biography
Florence E. Sommers was born on March 27, 1904, in Hastings, Minnesota, the daughter of Mary and William. She married Guy LeDuc on July 4, 1925. They had two children during their marriage. She died on May 8, 1956, in Bemidji, Minnesota, at the age of 52, and was buried there.

"Grandpa was Gabriel (Guy) LaDuke born in 1889 and died in 1973. Grandma was Florence Elizabeth (Sommers) LaDuke born in 1904 and died in 1956. My grandpa's middle name may have been Peter. I grew up thinking he didn't have a middle name. My grandpa was French and Chippewa. Grandma was German. Grandma died before I was born and I was named for her (twin brother is Floyd).
