Charles Sonnier is a descendant of an Acadian
SONNIER, Charles (Silvain & Magdeleine BOURG) bt. 26 Aug. 1781 at age 4 1/2 mths. Spons: Jean BOURG & Celeste ---. Fr. L.M. GRUMEAU (Opel. Ch.: v.1-A, p.25)[1]
He married Sophie Bello probably about 1804 based on the birth of her oldest known child. Although a search for a marriage record has been done, nothing has yet turned up. When their first known child, Charles Sonnier, died 15 July 1819 at age 14 years, he is described as " natural child of Charles SOIGNE & Sophie BELLO), indicating that the couple did not formally marry.
