Biography

Daniel was born on 19 Jun 1788.[1]

He married Margaret Beeler on 3 Jan 1815 in Washington County, MD.[2]

Daniel died on 11 Oct 1840, and is buried in the Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. His tombstone carries the inscription : DANIEL / SOUDER / DIED / OCT 11, 1840 / Æ 52 Y. 3 M. / & 22 D. [1]

Research Notes

An earlier version of the profile recorded that Daniel married on 4 Dec 1800 in Philadelphia, PA. This is assumed to be a reference to the marriage of Daniel Souder and Susanna Fischer at St Michael's and Zion Church, Philadelphia, PA [3] and can not be for a man who was born in 1788.

Further evidence is needed to confirm that Daniel (1788-1840) was the man who married Margaret Beeler in Maryland in 1815.

Marriage date and location here is conflicting with known marriage date of Jan. 19, 1815 in Washington County, MD to Margaret Beeler (1796 - 1831).

Date listed above (1800) would have had Daniel wedded at the age of 12.

Thanks for the heads-up, Robert. I adopted this profile with the intention of doing some general tidying and disentangling of the various Souder families, but did not get very far with it. I'll look into this, and will either amend the profile or else re-home Daniel as appropriate.
