Biography

He was born on 06 Apr 1866 in Fairfax, Monroe County, Indiana, USA and his parents were Mary Ellen (East, 1845–1921) and Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Souder (1840–1921).

About 1880 his family moved from Indiana to Texas, USA.

Elbert Elsworth Souder first married on 15 Jul 1886 in Tarrant County, Texas, USA to Maryetta Robertson [1] (1868–1902).

Elbert Elsworth Souder married secondly about 1905 to Sarah Anna Robertson (1873–1969).

After being critically burned in a fire, he died on 15 Sep 1960 at a hospital in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, USA [2] and was buried at Arwine Cemetery in Hurst, Tarrant County, Texas, USA. [3] He was survived by his wife, daughter Dona, 3 sons, a foster son, Wayne H. Hamilton Souder, sister Essie, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. [4]
