Biography

Elisha Soule, son of Rowland and Mary (Phelps) Soule, was born in Massachusetts, May 15, 1806.[1] No birth record in Massachusetts was located (as of 2015) and the 1850, 1860 and 1870 censuses state that he was born in New York.

He moved to Truxton, Cortland County, New York where he married May 10, 1826, Polly Colegrove, daughter of William and Susannah (Brightman) Colgrove. She was born in Rhode Island. before her family moved to New York State.

Elisha lived in Middlebury, Tioga, Pennsylvania, in 1840,[2] before moving to Farmington, Tioga, Pennsylvania.
