The household included Stephen Soule, 68, a farmer with $2000 in real estate and $200 in personal estate; his wife Lydia, 62; their children, Fernando, 27, a shoemaker; Priscilla, 24, a seamstress; Maria, 29, a dressmaker; and Louisa (Soule) Messenger, 34. And, George Messenger, 5 (Louisa’s son). Living, apparently on the same property, but considered a separate household was Stephen and Lydia’s son, Lawrence Soule, 29, a Mason; his wife, Mercie, 26; and their son Winthrop P., 1.
