John is a descendant of Mayflower passengers Edward Doty, John Alden, Priscilla Mullins, and George Soule.

Biography

John Soule, son of Ezekiel Soule and Hannah Delano, was born in Duxbury, Massachusetts, about 1736.[1]

John married, first, at Duxbury 11 Jan 1759 Patience Wormall.[2] Patience was the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Frost/Forrest) Wormall and was also a descendant of Mayflower passenger Edward Doty. She was born in Duxbury 20 Sept 1737 and died at Georgetown/Woolwich 1 Dec 1777.[1]

John married, second, at Georgetown/Woolwich Aug 1780[3] Martha (Card) Farnham, daughter of Winchester and Elizabeth (Grove) Card, and widow of David Farnham. She was born about 1743 and died at Georgetown/Woolwich 27 May 1831 ae 88.[1]

John settled in what is now Georgetown and Woolwich, Sagadahoc County, Maine. At the time Sagadahoc County was still Lincoln County and Maine was still part of Massachusetts. The births of several children were recorded in Woolwich. These two towns are on the coast of Maine near the Kennebec River.[1]

John and Patience sold by deed 20 Dec 1766, land they bought from his father in Plymouth and acknowledged this deed 12 Jan 1767.[1]

The 1790 US Census listed John with 1 male under 16, 1 male over 16, 4 females, in Woolwich, Maine[1][4]

John died 1 Dec 1777 in Georgetown/Woolwich[1]
