Norman was born in 1792. He was the son of George Southworth and Alice Vaughn. He passed away in 1871.

Norman L. Southworth, born 23 July 1792; died August 1871 in Coldwater, Michigan; married (1) Sarah Gardner, born 13 August 1791; died 1 February 1817, daughter of Robert and Amy (Arnold) Gardner of Hancock, Massachusetts; married (2) her sister, Honor Gardner, born 10 September 1789; died 27 January 1875 in Coldwater, Michigan.
