William Brewster Southworth Sr. was born 11 June 1903 to William Southworth and Arabella (Brewster) Southworth.

He married Ester May Polly daughter of Benjamin W. Polly and Flora (Sherman) Polly.

William Brewster Southworth Sr. was a cotton broker and later a wool broker. He was a partner in the Nichols Company and at one time was a trustee and later president of the New York Wool Exchange before it closed.

William and Ester (Polly) Southworth lived in Hingham and later Norwell and had one son:

  1. William Brewster Southworth Jr. b. 1928, m.1952 Shirley Blackwell 3 dau.

He died 6 Apr 1990 at the Weymouth South Shore Hospital.
